Ohio – The Land of No Common Sense

It was a rude awakening to find the socialists who had been pushing vote a “no” vote on Issue 2 won.  Was it because they focused their fight on scaring the weak, who believed our entire society would collapse if it passed?  Your house would burn to the ground because we’d have no more firemen?  You would no longer have police protection if Issue 2 passed?

This is the game the socialists played in getting their win against common sense.  In the process, they have once more told those going into the teaching profession, etc and don’t want to be in the union – we don’t want you, go to another state.

What I have such a hard time understanding is:

1.  What gives the union the right to own businesses and jobs that THEY never started?  In other words, what gives the union the right to tell people you’re not allowed to work here.

2.  What gives people who are lazy the  right to have the same benefits as those who work their butt off?

3.  Why do those who voted “no” against a common sense issue not care about 1 and 2.

Let’s continue my rant.

4.  What makes you think, just because you are a teacher, a cop, a fireman, etc., that you shouldn’t have to chip in on your healthcare and retirement?

Number 4 screams of welfare state.  It also screams of irresponsibility.  It screams “me, me, me generation.”  It' screams that a person shouldn’t have to work to earn their pay.  It screams socialist losers.

I suppose the only bright side to the issue is that at least 25.09% of us have the common sense to know the difference between right and wrong.  We can feel proud that we voted common sense.

The other 74.91% who voted socialist, have disgraced our state.  They are the whiners.  The ones who believe things should be handed to them on a plate without effort.  They are the ones who are exactly what this current Marxist Socialist regime wants – gullible, self-centered followers.

Atlas Shrugs.

Allen West and the 21st Century Plantation

“What we do is we totally invalidate the liberal social welfare policies and programs. And you know, I’m the threat because I’m the guy that got off their 21st-century plantation, and they cannot afford to have a strong voice such as mine out there, reverberating and resonating across this country.”

I love it that West is the antithesis of all that the Dems want the world to believe is true about blacks.  No wonder they hate him.  No wonder the rest of us think he’s pretty freaking cool!  : )

A matter of perspective: Gaffes or Not, Unlike Sarah, Bachmann is No Wimp

Feel free to leave a comment and explain to me how Palin is a whimp because she doesn't feel like wasting her time with the LSM. Palin had her fill of it during the previous presidential campaign. CBS set her up with the lame Katie Couric whose job was to see how bad she could make Palin look. So why should she bother?Anyway, Taylor Marsh has her own perspective on the subject. Read more: Gaffes or Not, Unlike Sarah, Bachmann is No Wimp - The Moderate Voice
... Sarah Palin, whose powerful platform of 2010 has been reduced to a sideline perch while she contemplates the presidency, is still hiding out at Fox refusing to take any challenging media scrutiny. In contrast, Rep. ...

If only those in public office were such.

G-d give us men.  A time like this demands
Strong minds, great hearts, true faith and ready hands:
Men whom the lust of office does not kill;
Men whom the spoils of office cannot buy;
Men who possess opinions and a will;
Men who have honour - men who will not lie;
Men who can stand before a demagogue
And scorn his treacherous flatteries without winking;
Tall men sun-crowned, who live above the fog
In public duty, and in private thinking.

And there went the governors jet....

"I came to office promising major ethics reform to end the culture of self-dealing. And today, that ethics reform is a law. While I was at it, I got rid of a few things in the governor's office that I didn't believe our citizens should have to pay for. That luxury jet was over-the-top. I put it on eBay. "

Union Twats, they’re not just a pain in America.

I offer you a quote from Michelle Malkin’s site, posted just last month, November 16.

In pursuit of an Eagle Scout badge, Kevin Anderson, 17, has toiled for more than 200 hours hours over several weeks to clear a walking path in an east Allentown park.

Little did the do-gooder know that his altruistic act would put him in the cross hairs of the city’s largest municipal union.

Nick Balzano, president of the local Service Employees International Union, told Allentown City Council Tuesday that the union is considering filing a grievance against the city for allowing Anderson to clear a 1,000-foot walking and biking path at Kimmets Lock Park.

”We’ll be looking into the Cub Scout or Boy Scout who did the trails,” Balzano told the council.

Balzano said Saturday he isn’t targeting Boy Scouts. But given the city’s decision in July to lay off 39 SEIU members, Balzano said ”there’s to be no volunteers.” No one except union members may pick up a hoe or shovel, plant a flower or clear a walking path.

Can you say, “Mentally ill?”  That’s about the only word I can come up for that fits Balzano.   A kid volunteers to do a very nice thing and the Union just couldn’t hack it.  How dare that child.

But while our Unions are out picking on Boy Scouts, the Union in Glasgow are out to do something even more annoying!  Take a look at this clip from The Guardian:

Scottish trade unions have called on supporters of Celtic to wave Palestinian flags at Europa League home match tonight against Israel's Hapoel Tel Aviv in "solidarity with suffering Palestinians".

But the Glasgow club, whose fans often wave Irish flags because of their historic ties with Ireland and the Roman Catholic community, urged their supporters to ignore the call.

It is nearly a year since Israel's three-week offensive in the Gaza Strip which killed more than 1,300 Palestinians and 13 Israelis.

"We hope that Celtic fans will join with us in a demonstration of support for a just and lasting peace in Israel/Palestine based on a secure Palestinian homeland living side by side with Israel," Dave Moxham, deputy secretary general of the Scottish Trades Union Congress, said.

Celtic, currently struggling in the Europa League, said it was "extremely concerned" by the call and said its stadium was "no place for a political demonstration". While Celtic insists it has always been a club which welcomes fans regardless of gender, age, race, religion, politics or ability, most of its supporters come from Glasgow's large Catholic community.

The city's other big club, Rangers, has traditionally drawn its support from Protestants and games between the two sides have often been the scene of sectarian rivalry mirroring the struggles between the communities in Northern Ireland.

I cheer the Glasgow Club for telling the fans to ignore the Union.

Something to think about.  Since what happens on the other side of the pond always finds its way to this side of the pond – how long till the  SEIU begins telling our fans what they want them to do at games?
