Positive Parenting Tip: Educating your kids, so they can teach others.

Recently, I wrote a couple articles on swimming pool safety. One dealing with 7 Tips Every Parent Needs to Know to Keep Their Kids Safe in the Pool this Summer. And the other on Protecting Your Child In The Pool When They're Not At Home.

The articles were inspired by some research I was doing. What I discovered is that in the sunshine states, the major cause of death for kids age 5 and under is by drowning. I was stunned that with statistics like that, parents were still being lax in protecting their little ones around the pool.

Of course, it's not just parents who are being lax about pool safety. It's also friends, grandparents and other family members. This is why it's so important to teach your children pool safety, not only so they'll be safe in your own pool, but in your friends or families pools as well.

Check out the above articles and share your own stories about your children and pool safety.
