Actually it doesn't trash his hopes, it simply trashes him, which like the article says, is really rare for a network to do, especially in this case where Trump is a good ratings booster for NBC. Perhaps someone has forgotten that Trump can buy a lot of stock in a company and have a powerful say in what does and doesn't happen. That thought makes me really happy.
