Sarah Palin Run for President 2012

Sarah Palin campaigning in Des Moines
Politics Daily has an article that suggests Sarah Palin might possibly run as an Independent.  After reading her book, "Going Rogue", I think it would be her best way to go.  If she runs as a Republican, the party will be telling her what to do at every turn, like they did during the McCain/Palin campaign.

From what I understand from reading her book, she pretty much ran independent when she ran for governor of Alaska, despite actually running as a Republican. She didn't have the money the other guys had.  She didn't have their support.  She wore her own clothes.  She met with the people who counted - the little guys, and didn't play the games the big league guys play.  She didn't and still doesn't mind insulting people in her own party.   They find that annoying.  And she wrote her own speeches.

Palin had to be doing something right, because she won the governorship, and as governor her poll figures were off the charts for a political leader.   She had figures in the 80's and 90's.  Other politicians would kill for results like hers.

Despite her record, and her ability to get elected without the usual games, the McCain gang and whoever was running the show behind that didn't trust her judgment on what needed to be done to win the election.  I think they would have won if they had listened.

I hope Palin runs for President, and I hope she goes Independent.  We need a woman in the White House who can grab the old boys by the ear and get them back in line.  Maybe they don't want her President because they know she will.  Maybe they get it that some of them will end up wearing orange like some in the previous administration in Alaska.

One thing we do know, is the battle to discredit her will go all out if and when she announces whether she's running or not.  Her previous political success will be tossed and the lies will fly - but she can take it.   Bring it on.  Because you're going against a woman who defeated in court one of the biggest oil corporations in the world, Exxon/Mobile, TWICE in 2.5 years.

Good luck with that.
